We are delighted to inform you of our Year 13 student Graduation Celebration taking place on Thursday 5 November 2026 at St Columba Church, 480 Ti Rakau Drive, Botany Downs.

This special occasion marks the culmination of our students’ journey at school and provides an opportunity to reflect, honour achievements, and celebrate together. The afternoon will feature speeches from the Principal and Head Student Team, followed by the presentation of a graduation scroll to each student. After the formal ceremony, students and guests are invited to enjoy afternoon tea and refreshments in the function room.

  • Date: Thursday 5 November 2026
  • Venue: St Columba Church, 480 Ti Rakau Drive, Botany Downs
  • Doors Open: 12:30 pm Start: 1:00 pm Finish: 4:00 pm
  • Dress Code: Smart Dress
Year 13 Student Tickets Sales
  • No online payments accepted. Must be paid at Finance Centre Only.
  • Cost: $20 per student
  • Deadline: Must be purchased by Monday 19 October 2026
  • Distribution: Tickets will be handed out at the final Year 13 assembly on Friday October 30 2026

Note: This event is exclusively for Year 13 students. Not Year 12 Students who are leaving at the end of 2026.

Guest Ticket Sales

The venue has a maximum capacity of 495 seats. With 349 Year 13 students and staff included in this count, guest ticket numbers will be limited. While we would love for all parents and caregivers to attend, our priority is ensuring every Year 13 student can be part of this milestone celebration.

  • No online payment accepted. Must be paid at the Finance Centre Only
  • Due to limited seating, guest tickets (maximum of 1 per student) will be available only after all student tickets are confirmed.
  • Sales Window: Tuesday 20 October – Friday 23 October
  • Availability: Tickets will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Unfortunately, tickets cannot be held or reserved. To ensure fairness, a maximum of one ticket per guest will be issued, and requests for additional tickets will not be approved. Please note that this limit applies to all guests, including those travelling from overseas.

Important: Once capacity is reached, no further guest tickets can be sold.

Please note that this is a school event, and all school rules and expectations apply. Refunds will not be issued for non-attendance, as catering is based on confirmed numbers.

To celebrate the college’s outstanding successes and highlights achieved through the hard work and dedication of our students, the college will publish an annual school yearbook for 2026 which is available to all students to purchase.

Pre-orders are open from now until Friday 23 October. The price per book is $25.50 (TBC).

Books will be pre-ordered based on full payment. The cost of the book will be added to all student accounts. Please pay directly online or at the Finance Centre. Use the reference ‘School Yearbook’ and Student ID.

If you would like to allocate funds in your credit balance to purchase this yearbook, you must inform Mrs Angela O’Shaughnessy in the Finance Centre bdscfees@bdsc.school.nz.

Payments will close on Friday 23 October (Term 4, Week 2). If you do not wish to purchase a yearbook, you do not need to do anything – this charge will be removed from the student accounts after Friday 23 October.

The yearbook will be delivered to Junior students in their tutor classes. Senior students will be able to collect their ordered books from the Student Services from Monday 23 November 2026.

Please ensure students bring a $2 Gold Coin(s) for this, and the coins will be collected Period 2.

The College mufti dress code applies. That is:

  • Clothing, although casual, must be appropriate for a college environment;
  • No slogans referring to smoking, alcohol and drugs, any sexual or inappropriate connotations;
  • The mid-section of the body is to be covered and any student wearing a skirt or shorts deemed inappropriate will be required to wear one provided by the College (all skirts and shorts should be at least mid-thigh in length i.e. no midi/mini-skirts or short shorts);
  • Footwear is to be smart/ casual.  School shoes will be issued to students who wear inappropriate footwear.  Suitable footwear, i.e. enclosed shoes, must be worn for practical classes (Health & PE, Science and Technology).
  • The normal standards of hair colour apply so please do not colour your hair for the day;
  • Do not bring any props or costumes, as they may be inappropriate or be a distraction to learning in the classroom.
