Over three nights in Term 3, the Dance department was very excited to present our showcase, Pulse, to the school community. Pulse serves as an assessment for our Year 10, Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 students. It is also a chance for some of our co-curricular groups, duets, and solos to perform. Eye on Nature Wearable Arts Competition 2025
This year, 21 BDSC students participated in the Eye On Nature Wearable Arts Competition run by the Manukau Beautification Trust.
The competition is all about making captivating and creative environmentally conscious garments featuring recycled or repurposed materials (or even better - materials that can be returned to the earth)MORE

The Level 1 Digital Art students had the exciting opportunity to visit Howick Historical Village, where they explored the unique architecture, artifacts, and heritage of early settler life.MORE
A Visit to Auckland Art Gallery
On Tuesday 29 July, some of our art students had the opportunity to visit the Auckland Art Gallery to see the traditional and modern artworks as well as the new 'A Century of Modern Art' exhibition. MORE
Level 1 Japanese Exploring Culture and Cuisine
On Thursday 26 June, students in 1JAP went on a trip to the city where we visited a Japanese shop and ate authentic Japanese food while using our language skills.MORE
Money Week 2025
From Monday 4 August to Friday 8 August, students at our school took part in Money Week, a national event focused on growing financial literacy among young people. Money Week brought a buzz of excitement to our lunchtimes, with students diving into activities that were not only fun, but also informative! MORE

Gold Adventurous Journey on Great Barrier Island
From Monday 7 – Friday 11 July, five students completed their Duke of Edinburgh gold adventurous journey on Great Barrier Island. The journey involved flying to Great Barrier on a Cessna aircraft, five days of tramping and sleeping in tents then returning on the Cessna. MORE
