Meet the Challenge 2025
The culmination of the Level 1 Geography course is 鈥淢eet the Challenge鈥�, an assessment where students are presented with a problem-solving situation related to a real-life global challenge. This requires the application of much of the work done earlier in the year as well as the ability to work effectively in a team.MORE
2025 Art Exhibition
In Week 4, the BDSC Art Exhibition was held upstairs in Koru, showcasing the artwork created by the Year 10s all the way to the Year 13s. From digital art to visual art, photography to painting, there was such a variety of different themes being put up for display and ideas that were just absolutely wonderous and creativity-inducing. BDSC Eco Art Competition
Art is one of humanity鈥檚 oldest forms of communication, and to this day is one of the most effective ways of bringing people together. On Saturday 4 October, BDSC Enviroschools hosted our first ever Eco Art Competition. We had seventeen artists present their work during the exhibit in the Diversity Centre on Tui Rd, spotlighting six artists from our own school.MORE

Two students from Year 13 Chinese class participated in the Chinese Song Contest held by Confucius Institute at Victoria University of Wellington to showcase their talents. Congratulations to Candice Wang 13K6 and Nicole Ding 13J5 for winning the Creative Performance Award in the Secondary category.MORE
Outstanding Results in the NZ Chinese Calligraphy Competition
Students from Year 12 and 13 Chinese classes achieved outstanding results in the 16th New Zealand Chinese Calligraphy Competition, organised by the Confucius Institute at the University of Canterbury.MORE
Year 9 Chinese Class Making Mooncake
At the end of Term 3, our Year 9 Chinese class was given the opportunity to learn about the Mid-Autumn festival and its celebratory food, the Mooncake. Our teacher, Laoshi Kuang, invited some mooncake experts to teach us about the Mid-Autumn festival. We learned the Chinese name of the festival and its pronunciation, the traditional story behind it, and how people in China celebrate it!MORE
