Moth Plant Competition 2025

The 2025 Howick Local Board Moth Plant Competition, which ran from Monday 3 March to Friday 9 May. The competition aimed to control the spread of the invasive moth plant, which spreads rapidly and threatens native plants. This year, 43 teams registered and took part in this event, removing a total of 246,302 pods and seedlings, stopping over 6.1 million potential seeds from spreading.MORE

On Wednesday 4 June, the Level 2 Business classes held their first Market Day at BDSC during lunchtime. Despite the windy weather and unexpected rain, the student-led businesses adapted quickly and continued selling from an alternative location. MORE

Being given the opportunity to participate in AUT’s 'Shadow a Leader Day' was an incredibly insightful experience that allowed me to go beyond the classroom and into the world of leadership. Success at NZSS Culinary Challenge

Kate Sole 13J5 and Georgia Sole 13J11 participated in the Regional NZ Secondary Schools Culinary Challenge (NSSCC).

For this, they had to produce two identical entrée portions of a dish containing lamb loin, kumara, two locally grown vegetables and one rescued kitchen product.MORE

On Wednesday 11 June, the Pasifika Council hosted our first Fono for 2025. We gathered to talanoa, share kai, and connect with our students and whānau.
